Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the courses delivered?

Courses are usually delivered at the clients’ venue. We occasionally run external courses at other venues in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset.

What is included in the price?

The price is fully inclusive for delegates to the limit stated in the course overview. It will include all course materials and certification. We do not charge VAT or expenses separately.

What will Coleman Training provide?

Your trainer will bring his or her laptop, speakers and projector, plus all course materials and props required for the day.

What do I need to provide?

We request that you provide a suitable, quiet room that is large enough to accommodate attendees comfortably and with room to move around, as some of our experiential exercises require movement.
We will require power sockets for a laptop and projector with an extension lead if necessary.
If you do not have a projection screen, we will need a plain wall (preferably white or cream) onto which we can project.

If possible, we request that you have a flip chart and pens available for the trainer to use.
We also request that fresh water is available for attendees and that there is a facility (either free or paid for) where attendees can access tea or coffee throughout the day.

What time do the courses start and end?

Most of our courses start at 09.45 to allow attendees with children to drop them at school and full day courses usually end at 15.30.

Half-day courses are delivered from 09.45 – 12.30 or 13.15 – 15.30.
We do offer flexibility in training times to suit your business, but an early start may sometimes incur additional charges if the trainer requires overnight accommodation in a hotel.

What happens after the course?

Training outcomes must be measurable. As a commissioner, you need to know that change is happening. As a training provider, we need to know that what we are doing is working for your organisation, and what we can do to make it even better.

At the end of the course, attendees will be asked to complete evaluation forms, which we will read and copy to you. After around four weeks, we will ask attendees to complete a second evaluation (online if possible) to check how they are using their new skills. We will contact you to discuss the results of the second evaluation and flag any difficulties that attendees may be experiencing in implementing their learning.

Planning for the future

Many of our clients go on to build long-term relationships with us, often spanning a decade or more. We value these relationships enormously and enjoy being an unofficial member of your team. When we are working regularly with clients, we often arrange a monthly face to face meeting to discuss any issues or training needs that you are facing and work out the best method of addressing them.

We can be as flexible as you need us to be, so whether it is a short, focused workshop for a specific issue, or perhaps an evening course for night staff, we will work with you to make it happen.
