Effective Communication Training Course
Good communication is an essential element in delivering person-centred care. This workshop explores different types of communication and barriers to good communication. Attendees will learn how to promote effective communication and the principles and practices relating to confidentiality. The workshops concludes by considering the use of verbal and non-verbal communication including the use of communication aids/technologies.
On completion delegates will be able to:
Explain the importance of effective communication at work
Understand how to meet the communication and language needs, wishes and preferences of individuals
Know how to promote effective communication
Describe the principles and practices relating to confidentiality
Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication
Utilise appropriate communication aids/technologies as required
