Falls are one of the leading causes of injury, loss of independence and hospital admission for older people and vulnerable adults. This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding needed to identify falls risks, support individuals to reduce those risks, and respond appropriately if a fall occurs.
Suitable for health and social care staff working in a variety of settings, the course explores common risk factors, falls prevention strategies, environmental adaptations, assistive technology, and best practice when supporting an individual during and after a fall. Learners will develop the confidence to promote safer care, reduce avoidable falls, and help individuals maintain their independence and wellbeing.

Great news! LDSS funding has returned for 2026/27, including the Level 2 Certificate in the Awareness and Prevention of Falls!
The qualification covers identifying and reducing falls risks, promoting participation in falls prevention programmes, and understanding how to minimise harm and provide appropriate support following a fall.

Study Skills Workshop
Many of us may not have studied for a qualification for many years, and the thought of doing a qualification can, understandably, be daunting. Our FREE course demystifies academic language by explaining the meaning of different "command verbs", reassures about the wide variety of assessment methods we use, so writing reams is not required (unless you enjoy writing!) and describes what can be used as "prior learning", so you don't have to repeat recent work.
We discuss the use of AI in your qualification, and answer any concerns you may have - no matter how trivial they seem. This course is available as a video, to watch when it suits you, or as a workshop where you can engage with others and realise that you aren't alone!

Our flexible learning approach helps people to complete their qualifications with ease.
We want you, our learner, to gain as much knowledge as possible from our qualifications. In order to achieve this, we offer a variety of resources to help you – including a range of tutor-led videos that you can watch in your own time.
Flexible Assessment
Quality matters! We have a caring team of assessors who will aim to mark your work within 48 hours and return it to you with supportive feedback and your next steps. We recognise that every learner is different. Some people are confident writers, while others prefer to talk through their experiences. That’s why we use a range of assessment methods, including professional discussions, witness testimonies, reflective accounts and work-based evidence, tailoring our approach to each individual’s strengths and needs. Our aim is not to create barriers to learning, but to help every learner demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competence in a way that enables them to succeed.

What Our Clients Say Testimonials

I submitted my first 2 claims through the LDSS last week and found the process much smoother than I initially thought it would be. Once I was told the qualification number (which is required), the rest of the process was very easy to follow. I uploaded both a copy of the invoice, and the receipt and both claims were accepted first time round. I was informed they were accepted on the same day as submission so a very quick turnaround.Mel Macaulay

Our experience with the new Learning & Development Support Scheme has been really positive. We have found the new system to be very straight forward, easy to use and have already received the 60% funding for each submitted application. The new service also enables providers to more easily obtain funding for qualifications to support their employee's progression, learning and development.Joseph Taylor
