Course Outline
Leading and manging performance begins from the moment of engagement of a new member of staff. Outstanding care can only be achieved for people using services if the correct support and training is given to staff.
In the care sector, staff turnover is high and the recruitment of quality staff is both costly and competitive. It has never been more important that we upskill our staff, giving them the support and tools to perform effectively in an open, respectful environment.
This course is based on ACAS guidance and the Skills for Care performance Management Toolkit.
On completion delegates will be able to:
-
- The importance of making Professional Performance Management (PPM) an integral part of your role as a leader
-
- Methods that may be used to communicate what is expected and how to set goals
-

-
- The role of induction, supervision, appraisal, professional conversations and exit interviews in performance management
-
